I'm researching my mother's side of the family and it seems that my great grandfather, Clement, was the Miller and Baker in Henfield, as appears in the 1881 census. They lived at Hakeland Villa, Henfield but had moved to Brighton by 1901. They had eleven children in all, nine of whom were born in Henfield - Herbert Joel (1871), Lucy Maria (1872), Jessie Amanda (1873), Fanny Caroline (1874/1875), Henrietta May (1876), Lizzie Kate (my grandmother who was staying with her grandparents in Eastbourne at the time of the 1881 census (1878), Octavius Harry (1879), Bridger George (1881) and Oscar (1882). Clement Ellis was born in Bramber in 1869 and the youngest Alice was born in Brighton in 1888.
Does anyone know anything about this family or have any connections, please.
I would love to hear from you

Neela
