JOURNEY INTO THE SEWER #10
CLICK HERE TO READ THE FINAL ISSUE OF JOURNEY INTO THE SEWER (THE ADVENTURES OF SEWERMAN)!
At last.

This issue represents the final installment (for now) of the illustrious Journey into the Sewer (The Adventures of Sewerman) series.  It's something we've been working toward for over four years and we're so gosh-darn happy that finally, it's over with.  We're so glad that we've created all these wonderful comics but now, mercifully, they're over with.

Eric drew the cover.  As you can see, he's got considerable talents.  This was inspired by the fact that I had the entire issue drawn, scanned, coloured and lettered, and yet still found myself unable to construct a cover to accuaretly convey the content, and the big deal that this was the last issue.  My best idea was a picture of Sewerman leaping into action with a monkey, and a caption that read "At Last - A Bold New Direction for Sewerman!" or something.  I could not draw the monkey.  Or, strangely, Sewerman, for that matter.

So he drew that and showed it to my one day when I got home.  And I burst out laughing and knew that had to be the cover.  With a cover like that, it makes no difference what is inside.  That is a brilliant cover.

It's so weird, man.  I've been doing this comic since the summer of 2001.  The first issue was posted only days before my first day of high school.  The last issue was now been completed only a few months into my career as a college student.  I've been through some weird times, but the question has always remained the same: "Scott, don't, you have an issue of Sewerman to be doing?"

Not anymore, kids.

The story of the issue has taken some strange twists and turns... it was inevitably the fall-out from the massive "Casbahs & Camels" storyline, crossed with some of that great zany Sewerman humour we love to bring you.  It was written almost a year ago, and drawn between March (??) and July.  I can't explain the lateness except that now, at the end, I seem to have run out of gas.

Is this the end of "Journey into the Sewer (The Adventures of Sewerman)"?  I already told you, yes.  Is it the end of Sewerman?  Perhaps not.  We've already discussed the possibility of a future 'return' of the characters.  We're now discussing the best way to initiate a 'return' to 'Sewerman,' but nothing is set in stone.

But with the last page of this issue... I think that says it all.

Keep on rockin'
